About The Event
After a really tough year and a half, Teddington Together have worked tirelessly with both the traders and council to ensure this year’s Teddington Christmas Lights Up goes ahead.
We are proud to announce that for the first time ever Stanley Road will be joining Broad Street, High Street, The Causeway, Park Road and Church Road to make it bigger and better.
The High Street and Church Road will be closed at 3pm with the event starting at 5pm and the the official lights being turned on at 6.30pm on the High Street. The roads will reopen at 9pm.
The night will include live music, shops staying open, stalls, children’s rides, mulled wine, children's competitions, face painting, food tastings and so much more. On Stanley Road, as well as the traders staying open, the Teddington Con Club on Stanley Road will be holding an Indoor Market whilst the Wensleydale Band and Holt 45's band entertain the visitors.
Church Road will be closed for the night where you’ll find stalls and live music on stage from fabulous local artists - Jesse Rose, Von Harle, Donya Pearl, Alan Dublon, Tina Keet, Mayan, Loose Roster and Unstill Waters
There will be live music on the High Street stage from OKMT, Claire Bender, Carl Speck's Community Choir and the fabulous Faketan Band will be closing the last hour of the night.
You’ll also find the RNLI, Twickenham Fire Station, Park Lane Stables, The Salvation Army and Teddington Choral Society, Teddinton Rugby Club, Richmond Music Trust Jazz Band, Stanley School Choir, Clarendon School Choir, bringing their own form of festive entertainment to the night throughout Teddington.
However, we still want to keep it as a local community event as we feel this was what made it so successful last year.
We have been holding various events throughout the year to try and raise the £28k required to cover the cost of Christmas lights, road closures, wardens, bus diversions, licenses, PA systems, staging and much more across all the streets.
Make sure you find the time to attend this year to help support your traders and local community
