They use only the best products such as Dermalogica, Caci, Fake Bake, Jessica, LVL Lashes, MAD beauty, Lycon and Dermapen. We met with owner Sally to find out more about her and Simply Skin UK.
How long have you been trading in Teddington?
I set up Simply Skin UK in 2006 (13 years ago) after working for Dermalogica as a skincare therapist and Virgin Atlantic as an inflight beauty therapist. I saw an opportunity of renting my own beauty room originally above the new Generation Nail Bar (now Princess Alice Hospice) before moving along the road to our existing location.
What was your vision when you launched?
I wanted to offer treatments that I enjoy doing and make people feel better, which I still do to this day and the reason I got into the industry.
What makes the business stand out?
We source the best treatments and products available and always listen to what our clients want and need. I also believe it’s the whole team spirit that makes people come back to us and recommend us too!
What do you love about Teddington?
I grew up locally so have always loved the area but working here I really feel the sense of community plus we are surrounded by other great businesses!
Besides your own shop what is your favourite shop in Teddington and why?
The Leather Trove is a great hidden treasure.It's perfect for presents for people and I love their window displays!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Cake....a lot of it! We can find many reasons in the salon to enjoy cake! So I work with like minded people!
If you could invite 3 guests to a dinner party, dead or alive, who would they be?
Jane Wurwand (founder of Dermalogica) as I admire her so much, Princes William and Harry. I'd love to meet hem both as I think they do so much for our country and make us proud! If their wives were free too then they would be very welcome also!
Where in the world would you like to visit if time and money was no object?
Anywhere with my husband and children! I have been lucky in my previous job to visit so many amazing places, so to be a passenger on a private jet to anywhere would be lovely!
