About The Event
ROSS SMITH - CRYING/SHAME (WIP)
Boys don’t cry – but should they? Ross Smith can’t remember the last time he did & is unsure if he still can. In Crying/Shame, Smith asks why it’s good to cry, for emotional well-being & comedy awards.
And why he is nowhere near reaching either. Hopefully it will all end in tears. Crying/Shame is the eagerly anticipated sophomore hour from emerging talent Ross Smith.
'One of my favourite new acts' - Joel Dommett.'Hilarious & original – unlike this quote' - Nish Kumar. 'Laugh-out-loud gags cleverly set up – go & see Ross Smith' Bruce Dessau, BeyondTheJoke.co.uk.
JOE SUTHERLAND - SOUR (WIP)
Top Ten Best Reviewed Shows, Edinburgh 2018 (Comedy.co.uk). A friendship, a country, a beloved 90s pop group. Joe returns to the Fringe looking back at things we once loved which have now gone sour.
A regular face on Comedy Central’s online channels, Joe has appeared on BBC 3, Sky Arts and has written for Comedy Central’s Roast Battle.
One of the most in-demand acts on the comedy circuit today, he has toured the UK supporting Ellie Taylor & the US stars of RuPaul's Drag Race. **** EdFestMag.com.
"Takes to the stage like an old pro, oozing star power from every pore. He combines borderline offensive self-confidence and biting punchlines with an openness that leaves the audience totally tamed." - The Mirror.
"Demands attention... He exudes a star quality, and on his own terms... Definitely one to watch." - Chortle.
Doors open at 8pm. First show starts at 8.20pm* Ticket price £5 per night to see both shows.
