Who organises Teddington Xmas Lights Up?
The Teddington Together (TT) committee organises the Teddington Christmas Lights Up. TT is a voluntary organisation that has been going now for over 20 years which is made up of local residents and traders. All funding raised through events or donations are ALL reallocated into Teddington Christmas Lights Up or other events that help promote the shops in Teddington.

How much does Teddington Christmas Lights cost?
Every year the event costs just under £30k to put on. We only receive £8k from the Council the rest is raised through donations from traders, sponsorship and events the TT committee organises throughout the year to raise money. Below is a breakdown of the costs for 2021 which included the column lights

What does the Council pay?

The Council for the closing of the roads to TFL - £10,000

The provide £8,750 in funding this is for Lights Up & Town Centre Opportunities (TCO). In previous years we were unable to use TCO funding for Lights Up but this has now changed due to the scale of the event
